The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has sought explanation from actor and producer Vijay Babu, the accused in the rape case. The executive leadership is likely to meet on Sunday in order to discuss the issue.
According to reports, Shwetha Menon led internal complaint redressal has demanded action on the matter. The other members of the cell include Maala Parvathi, Kukku Parameshwaram, Rachana Narayanankutty, Edavela Babu and advocate Anakha.
It is to be noted that Vijay Babu is an executive member of AMMA. It is also reported that the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is likely to expel him from the organization.
