The Ministry of External Affairs has impounded the passport of actor-producer Vijay Babu, accused in the sexual assault case by an actress. Following the request submitted by Kochi City Police, the Centre took the action.
City Police Commissioner C H Nagaraju informed that since the passport has been impounded, Vijay Babu’s visa will also stand cancelled.
The Indian Embassy will inform the matter to the UAE Embassy, and that will lead to the arrest of Vijay Babu by UAE police and sent back to Kerala.
It was on April 22 that the actress, a newcomer, had complained to the Kochi Police that she was sexually assaulted by the actor many times.
