The duo had started their modelling career together, about 20 years ago. Shwetha shared her moment with the Union Minister on her Facebook page and said that Smriti Irani is still a “charming and a down to Earth personality.” Shwetha met Smriti Irani surprisingly at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday when the former was waiting for her flight to Thiruvananthapuram.

Shwetha later told an online channel,” I was preparing myself to be an anchor for a reality show. At that time, I was cast in a Hindi film. So I had to quit the show and I was replaced by Smriti Irani for the television show. She is now one of the most influential leaders of India. I am extremely proud. May God give Smriti the strength to go a long way.”
