Sivakarthikeyan has filed a case against ‘Mr. Local’ makers for his pending remunerations. Directed by M Rajesh, the actor played a lead role in the romantic comedy, however it did not do well at the box office in 2019.
The makers have not settled Sivakarthikeyan’s pay package for the film. Hence, he moved the Madras High Court accusing producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films.
In the complaint, Sivakarthikeyan has stated that he received only Rs 11 crore from his agreed amount of Rs 15 crore. Also, the TDS for Rs 11 crore is also not remitted by Studio Green to the government. Hence he requested the court to ban the producer’s current films which are under production until he pays his pending remuneration for ‘Mr.Local’.
The court adjourned the case for the next hearing on March 31.
