Crime Branch Chief Tomin Thachankary has given instruction to submit the charge sheet against Vellappally Natesan. The charge sheet is prepared in connection with the SN College Golden Jubilee fund defalcation, alleged to have performed by Vellappally. Earlier, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan too has given nod to Crime Branch investigation in this case. With this, it is almost certain that the SNDP leader would undergo lawsuit actions in the coming days.

The report prepared by former Crime Branch SP Shaji Sugunan, suggests that Vellappally has siphoned off the fund, raised for SN College, Kollam. During the period of 1997 – 98, a total of Rs. 1,02.61,296 have been raised for building auditorium and library for SN College Kollam. However, Vellappally Nadesan is said to have canalized a total of Rs. 55 lakh to his personal account. A case was also registered in the year 2004. However, after several years of dormancy, it was in this year that the Kerala High Court asked to submit Crime Branch report on this case.

That said, the SNDP leader, who is facing several lawsuits on various charges, with the latest being over the death of SNDP activist Maheshan. Couple of days ago, a team of Crime Branch reached at the residence of Vellappally and questioned him for over two and half hours over the fund defalcation case.
