Kerala government has decided to conduct a six-day special drive from June 16 for senior citizens with preventive vaccine booster dose. The drive will focus on individuals above the age of 60 who are palliative care patients, bedridden and those in old age homes.
Kerala has been witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases and a team of health experts will reach the respective locations to inoculate the people.
This week, the vaccination drive will be held on Thursday and Friday and in the next week, it will be on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
According to the health department, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kozhikode and Thrissur districts have the highest number of cases.
