Former actress Sumalatha has informed that her samples were tested positive for Corona. Sumalatha, who represents Mandya Constituency in Karnataka, took her official facebook page and informed that she consulted doctors on July 4th, as she was suffering from sore throat and head ache. It was then that her samples were given for test, and she received her results today. She maintained that she taken the necessary treatments for the disease. She also informed that she had gone for home quarantine as well.

In the social media post, Sumalatha stated that she had handed over the details of people that she met during the period, to the officials. However, she requested those who met her during this period to voluntarily take necessary precautionary measures to stay safe. It must be added that she had a meeting with Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on June 29th, at Vidhana Soudha.
