Supreme Court ruled out Aadhaar number norm for all India exams

The Supreme Court has directed CBSE, asking the body to not make Aadhaar number mandatory for enrolment of students in appearing all India exams. The verdict came on the wake of the conflicting state regarding the conductance of NEET 2018. A five bench Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, ordered CBSE to upload the information on their website.

The controversy surrounding the issue of making Aadhaar number mandatory for appearing NEET 2018 exams, has gone for a different turn, when UIDAI told the SC that it had not authorized CBSE for such a move.
