A female teacher brought the school students to the temple and made them swear that they had not stolen the 35 rupees missing from her purse.
The incident took place in a primary school in Bihar's Banka district. The incident took place on Wednesday at a school in Asmanichak village of Rajaun block.
Neetu Kumari, the head teacher, made the children swear. The teacher alleged that one of the children had stolen the money. This is the teacher's action.
Teacher Neetu Kumari asked a student to bring a water bottle from her bag while taking class. As per the instruction of the teacher, the student took the water bottle and gave it.

Neetu checked her purse after the class and realized that Rs 35 was missing. When asked the boy who left to get the water bottle, he replied that he did not take the money. Other children repeated the same.
But the teacher alleged that one of the children had committed the theft. Then to find out the truth, all the children of the school were brought to a nearby temple and asked to swear that they had not taken the money.
There were a total of 122 students in the school. When the students reported the matter at home, the parents protested. The villagers and the parents of the children took the stand that action should be taken against the teacher otherwise the school would not be allowed to function.
The teacher claimed that when the students were asked, they went to the nearby temple and took the oath. The education department transferred the female teacher in the incident.
