Swachh Bharat Abhiyan receives international award, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wins history
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wins international award for comprehensive implementation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Modi was awarded the Goalkeepers Global Award at the United Nations General Assembly in New York by Bill Gates, founder of Micro Software. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is an award-winning organization dedicated to bringing together world leaders for the prevention of inequality and poverty alleviation.
Accepting the award, Modi said that Gandhi’s dream of keeping India clean has now been realized. The World Health Organization estimates that three lakh people have been saved from the disease. India has never heard of such a campaign. Gandhi’s 150th birthday is the biggest blessing of his life. Modi said that with 130 million people coming together in mind, any change can be easily achieved.
