As Swapna Suresh and Sandeep got arrested from Bengaluru by NIA yesterday, the investigation of the much debated gold smuggling case has gone past a milestone. Incidentally, both Swapna and Sandeep will soon be produced before the magistrate and the NIA team would subsequently question both of them. The interrogation is expected to produce answers to several puzzling questions. Now, NIA reports suggest that both Swapna and Sandeep had planned to escape from Bengaluru. It was during the initial probing session that both confessed about their plans.
Meanwhile, questioning of KT Ramees, who was arrested by the Customs Department, is said to be a decisive one that decides the trajectory of the case. Ramees is part of several smuggling cases; he has also a history of being arrested by the Customs department for the attempt to smuggle rifles through green channel of Nedumbassery International Airport.
