The accused in actress Shamna Kasim blackmail case, gave a statement to the Kerala Police about the ‘deal women’ in Thiruvananthapuram. Though the accused in the blackmail case had been indicted in connection with the gold smuggling, the investigation team did not release the information. Customs also got some hints related to the stage shows abroad by few from the film industry. Customs forwarded this information to the police team investigating the blackmail case.
During the interrogation, one of the accused revealed to the investigating team the number of ‘Deal Woman’ in Thiruvananthapuram, who has high level connections and helps to get out of any serious case. The defendant also said that she is diplomatic person who had close ties with the ruling party. Once the information was received by the customs intelligence department, the investigation was speeded up. The inquiry has reached to Swarna Suresh, the former consulate employee who is now absconding in the gold smuggling case.
