Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Department has released the Robin bus that was taken into custody for permit violations. The Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Department released the bus after the Robin bus owner paid a fine of Rs 10,000.
With this, the owner Girish informed that the journey will start from Coimbatore to Pathanamthitta at 5 pm as usual. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Department took the bus into custody when it went into service on the second day.

After checking at Chavadi check post, the bus was taken into custody and shifted to RT office. According to the department, the bus violated the permit condition that passengers should be dropped only in Coimbatore. The fine was imposed after inspection by the Joint Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu charged Rs 70,410 for the Robin Bus on its first day of service.
