“November 9th…a day I will never forget…a baby’s face with frowning and wet eyes not opened in the operation theatre…crying…not knowing the new place…the years have gone by…today my baby turns 17…he needs everyone’s prayers and blessings…Happy birthday ponna…” Manju has written by sharing the picture with her son. Bernard nicknamed Bernachu is the only son of Manju. Bernachan is well known to the audience since Manju’s first reality show, Sahitya Alla Siva, alongside Manju and her husband Sunichan.

“From the moment I got him in my hands until this very moment, I have never been bothered by anything. Even as a baby, when he likes a toy and looks at it, if his mother asks him to buy it, he will say yes and agree. To this day he has never cried out for it. I think he is acting in front of me and he is hiding his desires. He doesn’t get too angry. His childhood toys were spoon and newspaper. When he grows up, he will be such a poor child, I feel tense. He is now in plus one. I am confused as to what to teach after completing plus two. He never tells his wishes. I am a person like everyone who wants my son not to suffer as much as I have,” he said in a recent interview.
