Actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi granted anticipatory bail in the case of insulting a journalist. The High Court directed the police to release him on bail if he is arrested.
At the same time, the government informed the court that there is no situation for arrest at present. The petition was heard by a bench of Justice Sophie Thomas.
The FIR was revised by adding a serious section against Suresh Gopi in the case of misbehaving with a journalist.

After this, Suresh Gopi approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail. Suresh Gopi approached the court demanding that his daughter’s marriage be on January 17 and in this case he should be given anticipatory bail.
The petition alleges that behind the case was political enmity for leading a march for those who had lost money in the Karuvannur issue and the media worker who blocked the way was only replaced. The court sought the government’s position on the petition.
