The funeral was held last night at 8:30 pm at his residence. He started his career as a co-director with Padmarajan, one of the famous Malayalam directors. He was with Padmarajan for a long period of 10 years. He has worked as a co-director in some of the best classic movies of Malayalam cinema like Mundi Thopus, Nombarathi Poov, Jaya, Season, Naam Gandharvan.
He became an independent director in 1995. He is directing the film Kusumi Kurup for the first time. After this, he earned many hit films for Malayalam cinema like Sharjah to Sharjah, Swarnam, Reporter, Sarvopari Palakkaran.
His wife’s name is Lata. He has two children. Daughter’s name is Lakshmi. Son’s name is Vishnu Gopan. His son-in-law’s name is Ravish. At the same time, many prominent people in the film industry are now coming to the scene to pay their last respects to him.
