Agnihotri has set forth an example that any good or genuine film, can garner support from the audiences. It is not necessary that a film should be a big-budget and multi-starrer.
As per the trade source, The Kashmir Files was made with a budget of just Rs 12 crore and the film has crossed all margins around the world.
Produced by Zee Studios, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is a film about the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the Muslim-majority Kashmir Valley in a portion of the disputed region Kashmir administered by India. The early-1990 exodus, which followed the rise of a Muslim insurgency, is depicted in the film as a genocide. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi.
