Actor Kunchacko Boban on Saturday mourned the passing away of veteran scriptwriter John Paul in Kochi. He was 71. The actor recalled his family’s connection with John Paul and said that the latter had a much bigger heart for the people around him.
Taking to Facebook, Kunchacko Boban wrote, “John Paul Uncle.. Into eternal peace.. The man,the talent…who gave birth to so many soul-touching movies, who remained in the hearts of everyone that he met, who had unparalleled command over the language and literature…the man who we all lovingly called UNCLE!!! There were so many instances where I could feel the warmth and love that you had for UDAYA family, especially for my Appan. The big man who had a much much bigger heart for the people around him..so much that we could feel his love even when he was not around us. Your voice and words will be sorely missed…but your creations will speak volumes for what you had done for the film fraternity and literature!! Nedumudi Venu Chettan,Lalitha Chechi and now John Paul Uncle…recent times had seen big losses for the Malayalam Film fraternity and more on a personal aspect for me and my family. Hope you all rekindle your friendship in the Heavens.”
