Giving much relief to the Malayalam film industry, the government might soon lift the restrictions on theatres. Though an official note is yet to reach the press, it is reported that the meeting held between the industry people and the Chief Secretary of the state, has resulted on a good note. Going with the reports, it is said that the representatives of the industry have managed to convince the Chief Secretary of the state, the need for lifting the restrictions on theatres, for the smooth conductance of the industry, which was heavily affected by the Covid 19.
That said, if everything goes according to the plans, then an official note regarding the same might be issued in the coming week. Then, it would be just a matter of time, before which fresh releases hit theatres. Industry is also buzzing with the rumors that the Mammootty – Manju Warrier starrer ‘The Priest’ is getting ready to hit big screens on 11th this month, after postponing its earlier plans of releasing the movie on 4th March, last week.
