Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s words about Oommen Chandy’s government period are noteworthy now. He says that it was a cursed period for Kerala. Every sector has collapsed. The Chief Minister said that Kerala is completely in despair. After the LDF government came to power, that sense of despair has changed. The Chief Minister added that the Center is of the opinion that Kerala should not escape and the central position is to create a crisis in every way. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also stated his position on the reports that Rahul Gandhi will contest in Wayanad. Pinarayi Vijayan said in the New Kerala audience that India Front is not the front that decides where Rahul Gandhi should contest, but that party should decide where Rahul Gandhi should contest.

Pinarayi Vijayan’s reaction comes when the CPM has openly opposed Rahul Gandhi’s contesting in Wayanad. Yesterday, CPM State Secretary MV Govindan clarified that Rahul Gandhi should not contest against the Left Front candidate in Wayanad if India Front is targeting the BJP. On the other hand, the Chief Minister rejected Satheesan’s criticisms against the New Kerala audience. There is something wrong with Satheesan. If possible, the media should be advised. Pointing out that the Center is neglecting Kerala, he said that it was a good move that TN Prathapan MP gave notice for an urgent resolution in the Parliament. He also clarified that if it is decided to correct the mistake till now, it would be welcome.
