Chinatown is one of the most hit movies in Malayalam. Actress Shivani now says that there was an attempt to avoid her from this film. They say that the actor who knocked on her door at another location was behind this. They also say that it was avoided by Mohanlal’s intervention. They revealed all these things in an interview given to a YouTube channel.
“My first film was Annan Thambi. But no one has misbehaved with me in it. But the bad experience happened on the location of another film. At 12 o’clock in the night, he knocks on the door and leaves. My mother and I will be in the room. Finally, the mother found the man. He will behave very politely during the day. He spoke very well to all of us. But the night was like a plague. The matter was brought to the attention of the director and producer. After that I didn’t have any films for a long time” – says the actress.
“It was after one and a half years that Sidhu Panakkal called me for the film China Town. The film was shot in Hyderabad. I met the man who knocked on my door at the airport. I am not one to hold any old grudges. So when I saw it, I spoke. When he saw me, he talked to me and said “All the best” and left. After some time, I saw him walking with tension.
Three days after we reached there, I was not called for shooting. Even sitting in the room they give many reasons every day. So the fourth day was shot. Producer Anthony Perumbavoor was the one who rushed the matter. Pulli asked if there was any problem with this artist. The other spot was calling me not to act. Finally Mohanlal sir intervened and avoided it. “It’s a girl. If we let it go, it will be a big shame. Not only that, they must have arrived at the amount that we have mentioned with many calculations. If we don’t get it, we don’t want that curse. This is what Lalsar said.
