Palakkad: The court intervened in the incident of a police officer’s rude behavior towards a lawyer in Alathur.
The court has directed the officials who directly participated in the incident to appear in court on the 12th of this month.
The court has directed that those present, including the SI, should be produced.
The information of all the policemen who were on duty at the station should be presented.

The order comes in the context of a contempt of court petition filed by lawyer Akib Suhail.
After the accident, the lawyer Aquib Suhail came to the station with a court order to release the vehicle seized by the police.
The police claim that the lawyer shouted when he asked to check the order.
But the lawyer argued that when the police tried to prevent him from releasing the car, he was told that it would not be possible.
At the same time, cases were registered in two police stations namely Alathur and Chittoor on the grounds of obstruction of duty and uttering obscenities.
According to the instructions of the DGP, the lawyer’s statement was recorded under the leadership of the DySP.
