Pathanamthitta: After a gap of one month, Robin Bus resumed service today.
The service was started on Pathanamthitta Coimbatore route. The bus, which was seized by the motor vehicle department, was released the other day.
The bus was released as per the court order. After that the bus service started today.
But after one kilometer of the service, the motor vehicle department officials stopped the bus and checked it at Mylapra. After inspection, the service was allowed to continue.
Meanwhile, MVD officials have clarified that strict action will be taken if any violation of the law is found. The Motor Vehicles Department is of the view that it is illegal to run a bus with a contract carriage permit as a stage carriage.
Meanwhile, the bus owner has approached the High Court questioning this position. The final verdict on this plea will be given next month.
