Covid-19 has been confirmed in 1103 people in Kerala today. Health minister KK Shailaja teacher informed the media. 240 persons from Thiruvananthapuram district, 110 from Kozhikode district, 105 from Kasaragod district, 102 from Alappuzha district, 80 from Kollam district, 79 from Ernakulam district (one died), 77 from Kottayam district and 68 from Malappuram district. A total of 62 people from Kannur district, 52 from Pathanamthitta district, 40 from Idukki district, 36 from Thrissur district, 35 from Palakkad district and 17 from Wayanad district were diagnosed with the disease today.
This includes the test results of Anne Antony, 76, of Ernakulam district, who died on July 24 in Ernakulam district. The deceased have been identified as Nabeesa (63) of Kasargod district, Ruhiyabi (67) of Kozhikode district, Mohammad Koya (58) and Anjali Surendran (40) of Palakkad district were also died today. The death toll rose to 60.
Today, 119 of those diagnosed with the disease are from foreign countries and 106 from other states. 838 people were infected through contact. The contact source of 72 of them is not clear. 218 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 104 in Kozhikode district, 88 in Kasaragod district, 73 in Ernakulam district, 67 in Kottayam district, 63 in Kollam district, 49 in Alappuzha district, 38 in Malappuram district, 32 each in Idukki and Palakkad districts and Pathanamthitta district. The disease affected 30 people, 24 in Kannur district, 13 in Thrissur district and 7 in Wayanad district were infected through social contact.
