Some of the Padma awards this year are being heavily criticized in the social media. One of these was the award given to Gauri Lakshmabai by the erstwhile Travancore royal family.
The question of the critics was that what did they do to give the Padma award? Gauri Lakshmabai was given the award by beating Mammootty from Malayalam.
The campaign against Gauri Lakshmibai on social media is based on the old saying that if menstruating women water the plants, they will burn.
Social media activists allege that Mammootty is being ignored and Gauri is being honored as Lakshmi because the power of democracy has waned in the country.
Mammootty doesn’t talk nonsense or discriminate people on the basis of caste and religion. It is a great disqualification in present-day India.
According to Sandeep Das, who is also an official of the health department, there is no comparison between Mammootty and Gauri Laxmibai in terms of their contribution to India.
Today’s India doesn’t need Mammoottys, it’s the age of mistresses; Sandeep Das also noted that those who make the stupid statement that menstruating women will burn the plant if they water it are revered.
Sandeep Das also wrote on Facebook that this lack of award is the biggest award for Mammootty.

This year’s Padma Awards have been announced. The great actor Mammootty has been left out again. Gauri Lakshmi, who only preaches unscientific and anti-democratic, has received an award for a ‘royal family member’!
The power of democracy in India has waned greatly. Fascists in purple have taken hold in this country. There is a growing number of people who want the return of monarchy and Chaturvarna. That is why Mammootty is adored and ‘Mistress’ Gauri Lakshmi is revered.
Mammootty cannot be confined to the title of actor. He is also a staunch democrat.
An incident that happened during the 2016 assembly elections comes to mind. When Mammootty was standing in the queue to vote, a media person asked-
”Are you a superstar queuing…!?’
Mammootty’s reply was as follows-
“You have to follow the queue. I am just a voter here. Every citizen of India should exercise the right to vote. Elections are the biggest celebration of democracy…”
This is Mammootty’s civic sense. But what about Gaurilakshmi?
Gaurilakshmi has not yet accepted the fact that democracy has come to India. They describe themselves as mistresses. Gaurilakshmi has contempt for the legislature and the government machinery. They do not believe in the right to vote.
Gauri Lakshmi’s statements are those which should be forbidden in a progressive society. Can anyone forget the stupid statement that menstruating women will burn the plant if they water it? The country has now honored the man who said it!
Mammootty does not speak unscientifically. People are not discriminated on the basis of caste and religion. That is a huge disqualification in today’s India!
At the time of the release of Nanpakal Neerth Mayakum, Mammootty commented-
“Human values are more important than religious and linguistic differences. That is the politics of this film…!”
There is no comparison between Mammootty and Gauri Lakshmi who have made comprehensive contributions to India. But today’s India doesn’t need Mammoottys. This is the age of mistresses!
It is not necessary to say that Mammootty did not receive the Padma award. It should be judged that Mammootty did not get the Padma Award. What does Mammootty have to prove?
