Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar said that 800 buses will be operated on the occasion of Makaravilak. The minister said that in such a situation, the police should provide an opportunity for the vehicle to leave with the help of the motor vehicle department. The minister was speaking at a meeting of transport department officials at Pampa Sri Ramasaketam auditorium. Once the long distance buses from Pampa are full, they do not have to board the bus stand. But if the people are not full, the minister also suggested that they must enter the station.
Devotees going to Nilakal should make maximum use of chain services. Boards will be put up in different languages to bring these to the people. Minister Ganesh Kumar said that announcement facility will also be prepared. The minister himself also hopes to provide rest facilities for KSRTC drivers and divers in long-distance buses.
Any unnecessary strikes on top of the bus will not be allowed. Ganesh Kumar said that he is not coming to Sabarimala to protest. “Don’t sit in front of the bus and protest. That is also wrong. We are all believers. I’m not afraid to say that. They do not come to Sabarimala to protest. There will be no inconvenience. Buses will be released as they fill up. Fasting is for mental purity and mental strength. Instead of calling for refuge, it is not necessary to sit on top of the bus and shout obscenities. I will not allow that.
