The Vigilance officials on Saturday recorded the statements of Thiruvananthapuram municipal corporation mayor Arya Rajendran and CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan in connection with the letter controversy.
Mayor’s statements were recorded from her residence while Nagappan’s from his office. According to reports, Nagappan has declined his involvement in the letter and he had not seen it.
The development comes after several complaints were received to the Vigilance and therefore, a Special Investigation Unit I has been assigned to probe the matter.
