Not long ago was when Twitter came up with a revised policy. The policy was intended for those who post sensitive content, and warned of a possible ban. When Twitter banned some extreme right wing leaders in Britain from posting sensitive content, it was clear. However, Twitter has now come up with a new statement – altering their plans of promoting global peace. In an open statement made out, Twitter officials maintained that they would not be banning political leaders, over the same reason.
It is in this context, which the US President Donald Trump’s latest tweet deserved to be mentioned. The tweet of Donald Trump hinting of the use of US nuclear weapons, started off a heated debate in Twitter. All eyes were into Twitter! However, the micro blogging site made it clear that they were here for promoting a global, public conversation. Such a marked deviation from their peace plans.
