Twitter has rolled out an updated version of the Twemoji for its Android users. The update is meant for Android 4.4 KitKat to Android 7.1 Nougat users. The updated Twemoji is being created using the Google owned ‘EmojiCompat Library’. Intended to create new emojis for apps running in older versions, the ‘EmojiCompat Library’, the new set of Twemoji would cater the needs of over fifty percent of Twitter users.
However, the update would not be mandatory for all the users, as they would have to option of migrating to the latest version or that of sticking to the current version.
