In an attempt to curb the increasing presence of abusive comments in its platform, Twitter is planning to rollout a feature that would hide inappropriate tweets from searches and conversations. For the purpose, Twitter will soon come up with a tweet ranking system, which is accompanied by a system of signals that would mark abusive tweets. Tweets would be analyzed based on the reports – blocks – mutes by the user community.
However, it is reported that Twitter would not be going to remove those tweets, but rather move to the ‘see more replies’ section. The update would be rolled out in batches, starting with this week.
