A woman of Wachumaram Colony was trampled to death by a cat near Peringalkut. Vatsala (64), wife of Urumuppan Rajan, died in Wachumaram Colony.
A farmer died after being seriously injured in a wild buffalo attack in Kozhikode. Palatil Abraham, a native of Kakkayam and a farmer, died.
Abraham was attacked by a wild buffalo while he was picking cocoa in a farm near the Kakkayam dam site. Abraham was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
Abraham died at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The body has been kept at Kozhikode Medical College. The locals protested the death.
Yesterday also a wild buffalo had descended in the residential area of Koorachund Kallanod area near Kakkayam. The UDF and LDF have called for a hartal tomorrow in Koorachund panchayat to protest the killing of a coconut farmer in a wild buffalo attack.

Meanwhile, Vatsala was attacked by a wildebeest when he went to collect forest resources in the forest. Their bodies were shifted to Chalakudy Taluk Hospital.
