Vishnu Mohan, who directed the family drama ‘Meppadiyan’ has won the prestigious J.C Daniel Award for Best Debut Director. Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan who played the lead role as Jayakrishnan, won the Best Actor (Jury Award).
The good news was shared by Unni Mukundan himself on his social media handles, who happened to produce ‘Meppadiyan’ under the banner of Unni Mukundan Films. This was the maiden project from (UMF).
Unni Mukundan wrote, “Success story of #Meppadiyan Continues ! The film’s thriller episode garnered rave reviews from the audience and also called Meppadiyan the best film of Unni Mukundan so far. ‘Meppadiyan’ is now streaming on OTT Amazon Prime.

Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan is busy with the post-production of his second film from UMF, ‘Shefeekkinte Santhosham’. The film is touted to be a romantic comedy and a family entertainer.
