The United States of America, as part of ensuring enough jobs for natives, has banned issuance of new H1B, H2B and L Visas for a period of 1 year. With this, the skilled labours in India would not be able to make their presence felt in the US. With the latest move, the practice of Indian companies’ temporary appointment of skilled labours from India in their US offices, would become an obsolete practice. Several IT companies used to post their staff members from India into managerial positions in the US.
With the latest move, US is expected to provide job opportunities for 5.25 lakh natives. Now, this move is considered to be a crucial decision taken by the US government in reviving the country’s economy, which is reeling under tremendous pressure due to Corona virus. However, the decision made by the White House is facing stiff opposition from the business circles.
