Vande Bharat Mission brought back 5,80,000 people back to India; informs MEA

Anurag Srivastava, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the phase 4 of the Vande Bharat Mission was underway. As was informed by him, in the phase 4, a total of 637 international flights have been scheduled. These 637 flights would serve 29 airports in India. He also informed that as on 8^th July, 2020, a total of 5,80,000 people have returned back to India under the mission. It must be mentioned here that, the MEA statistics show that, a total of 6,61,352 persons have registered their requests under Vande Bharat Mission, which started from 7^th May, 2020.

Started from July 4^th, the fourth phase of Vande Bharat Mission, will come to an end by 11^th July. While the first flight was scheduled to Australia, the last flight under Vande Bharat Mission, is to Vietnam.
