Telangana Director General of Police Anjani Kumar has been suspended by the Election Commission for violating the Model Code of Conduct and relevant rules of conduct. Anumula Revanth Reddy, a candidate for the Telangana assembly elections, was seen with flowers in Hyderabad.
After the Congress won majority in Telangana, DGP Anjani Kumar, Additional DG Mahesh Bhagwat and Additional DG (Law and Order) Sanjay Kumar Jain on Sunday met and congratulated TPCC President Revanth Reddy. Security arrangements were also discussed. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at Gandhi Bhavan and residences of Congress leaders. Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) will now provide security to Revanth Reddy.
Earlier it was said that Revanth Reddy is coming to Gandhi Bhavan today to participate in the celebrations along with the activists. According to the Election Commission data, Anumula Revanth Reddy is leading in both the constituencies of Kodankal and Kamareddy.
