The incident where a group of women attacked a YouTube site is creating a lot of controversy in Kerala. In the incident, a lot of people came on the scene for and against women. A group of people argue that no one has the right to take the law into their own hands. But another group argues that they had to take the law into their own hands because they did not get the protection they deserved from the law.
The Human Rights Commission is now intervening in the incident. They observed that no one had the authority to assault a person. Therefore, action will be taken against them under the Human Rights Act, the Human Rights Commission said. At the same time, they observed that Vijay P Nair should be punished for his wrongdoing.
The Human Rights Commission currently has the sole power to issue directions. Therefore, they have submitted their observations as a report to the police. It is the responsibility of the police to take further action.
