In line with the way the parent company Facebook functions, WhatsApp too is planning to introduce a feature to it. The feature, which would position the place of group admins in a group chat. According to the reports, the feature will enable group admins decide which group members could post in the group. The WABetaInfo suggests that the Google Play Beta Programme in the version 2.17.430 test runs the ‘Restricted Group’ setting.
If applied, the restricted group member can only read the messages posted by the admins, but can’t respond. However, they can use the ‘Message Admin’ button to share their posts with the admin.
