Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi, intervened in the incident where the car was damaged after being hit by diesel mixed with water. At the same time, the 36 liter diesel was hitting the car and heard the beeping sound several times. Jiju Kuryan also says that the warning lights were on. Jiju Kurian immediately took his car to the company’s Kottayam workshop for inspection. Jiju says that it was then that he found that water had mixed in the diesel. With the help of former BJP spokesperson PR Sivashankar, Jiju lodged a complaint with Minister Suresh Gopi. Suresh Gopi immediately intervened in the complaint and took action in the incident within 48 hours.
With this, the pump owner returned the money spent on diesel to Jiju Kurian and the amount spent on repairing the car. The pump owner paid Rs 9894 to Jiju Kurian, including the diesel amount of Rs 3394 and compensation. IOC officials have arrived and stopped the sale of diesel at the pump.
