Kumaraswamy suffered a nosebleed while talking to the media about the BJP-JDS padayatra at the Goldfinch Hotel in Bengaluru. Sources related to the minister informed that he was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. While the minister was speaking, he started bleeding from his nose. Footage of Kumaraswamy’s shirt with blood on it has surfaced. Other details of his treatment and doctors’ statement are yet to come out. In March this year, Kumaraswamy underwent transcatheter aortic valve implantation, a non-surgical procedure, at Chennai’s Apollo Hospital. He has had two strokes. He had developed restenosis due to tissue valve degeneration. Also in February 2024 he had severe shortness of breath, fatigue and chest pain.

The BJP-JDS coordination committee meeting today decided to hold a foot march from Bengaluru to Mysore against the Congress government in the state and to highlight the recent corruption allegations. Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa and HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy also attended the meeting.The march will start next Saturday. It takes seven days to reach Mysore.
