Kottayam: Changanassery Archdiocese Auxiliary Bishop Mar Thomas Tharail criticized Mammootty starrer Jio Baby movie Kathal.
On the floor, Thomas asked why all the characters in the Mammootty-starrer glorifying homosexuality are Christians.
He also asked why the story of the movie is based on Christian temples.
He added that if the film had been made in the context of any other religion, the film would not have been seen in theatres.
Christendom is portrayed as mere educational peddlers. It’s time for films that insult the Church to get better producers. Mar Thomas said on the floor that news against the Church should get sponsors and realize that it is a time without cotton.
Mar Thomas said on the floor that the tolerance and goodness of Christians are being exploited and we need to be careful when there are efforts to attack our culture.
