Shashi Tharoor MP with an explanation in the post shared on Ramkshetra Pratishtha Day. Tharoor himself has said that his tweet was misinterpreted. Tharoor wrote ‘Siyavar Ramachandra ki Jai’ along with Ram Lalla’s picture on Ayodhya Pratishtha Day. Tharoor also asked why he, being a Congressman, is giving up Lord Rama to BJP. Tharoor clarified that that would be the wish of the BJP but he is not ready to give up Raman to the BJP. All Hindus who pray to Ram are not BJP. Be able to advance the faith in your own way. Tharoor explained that he goes to the temple to pray.
SFI had protested against Tharoor who came to the law college for the event. Tharoor also clarified that SFI’s protest was not for politics, but for doubting his secularism. Tharoor also criticized SFI for saying that he is not secular because of one line of tweet. Tharoor says that his and his party’s position is clear and KSU should give SFI a chance to protest.
