In an appalling incident, a woman stabbed her husband to death during a brawl over smoking on Wednesday. Kunhi Mohammed (65) of Manjeri Narangathodi, was stabbed to death by his wife Nafeesa (54).
Kunhi Muhammed was smoking in the yard when Nafeesa got angry due to the smell of smoke. Then, Kunhi Muhammed hit his wife with a stick. Nafeesa, who was chopping vegetables, stabbed Kunhi Muhammad in the back with a knife.
Then his son Niyas, who was at home at the time of the incident came there after hearing a noise found Muhammed lying with stab injuries. The neighbours rushed him to the private hospital in Manjeri. The body was shifted to Manjeri Medical College for post-mortem.
