Xiaomi has launched Redmi 5 in India for a starting price of INR 7,999. Partnered with Amazon India, the device would also be made available at Mi.com. That said, the device will reach the MI Home Stores by March 20. Redmi 5 is the successor to the Redmi 4, which was launched in India in May 2017. Xiaomi has presented three variants for Redmi 5: 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The devices are respectively available for INR 7,999, INR 8,999 and INR 10,999.
Sporting a 5.7 inch HD display with an aspect ratio of 720×1440 pixels, Xiaomi Redmi 5 has got a 282ppi value. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, the processor of Redmi 5 clocks a peak speed of 1.8GHz. While the rear camera has got a 12MP sensor, that of the front camera sports a 5MP sensor.
