In yet another incident that shook the psyche of Malayalees, a six-month-old infant was brutally assaulted by father in Thiruvankulam, Kochi. The infant was hospitalized to Thripunithura Taluk hospital. Upon inspection, it was found that there were several scars, including burns on the body of the infant. Police has arrested Anand, the father of the baby. Anand, who hails from Palakkad, works in a hotel in Thiruvankulam.
Neighbors have lodged complained against the person stating that he had brutally assaulted the baby. The complaint further stated that the man had been fond of the elder child. He, according to the neighbors, used to care the elder one with much care, whereas he wasn’t showing interest on the younger one. The neighbors narrated that he didn’t even allow the infant to have proper food. It was a few weeks ago that the locals had taken initiatives to hospitalize the infant and collected money for meeting the expenses as well.
