Two youths drowned in Thodupuzha Thommankuth river to wash their feet. The deceased have been identified as Mobis Isaac, a native of Wazhkala, and Blasan, a native of Chinkalcity.
The accident took place this afternoon. As it was Christmas holiday, both of them had come with their relatives to see the Thommankuth Falls.
When he tried to go down to the waterfall, the lifeguard stopped him. Then they returned home.
Meanwhile, Thommankuth went down to wash his feet at a place where the river flows.
Here he slipped and fell into the river. Relatives and locals who were with them tried to save them, but both of them drowned
Both were rushed to the hospital but their lives could not be saved.
