Kalamassery police arrested two youths who stole six mobile phones worth Rs 3,39,000 and three pairs of canvas shoes worth Rs 9,000 from Edappally and two other youths who bought them at a price.
Jithu (26) of his house in Mulanthurutthi Pallithazham Eliyatta, Sharafuddin (21) of his house in Valiyaparam of Thrikakkara Grove, Arun Babu (28) of his house in Elur Payyapally and Nijas (25) of his house in Kalamassery Glass Factory Colony Pookat were caught by the police.
Edappally A.K.G. On the 27th, Jithu and Sharafuddin also stole six mobile phones worth Rs 3,39,000 and three pairs of canvas shoes worth Rs 9,000 belonging to students living on rent in a house on Vadagsala Road. They were selling it to Arun Babu and Nijas.
When Jithu and Sharafuddin, who were hiding in Pattatipalat Lodge, were taken into custody and interrogated, they came to know that the sale was made to Arun Babu and Nijas. Arun Babu and Nijas were caught from Vaikat on the night of 30th. Kalamassery Police Inspector P.R. A police team led by Santosh arrested the accused. It was recovered from them since the theft. The accused were remanded.
