7 Districts to Locked Down in Kerala | COVID19 Outbreak Update: According to the central directive, seven districts in the state of Kerala that have been diagnosed with corona virus infection will be closed. The entire closure will be in Kasaragod, Kannur, Malappuram, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvananthapuram districts.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the chief secretaries convened by the cabinet secretary. The state government’s order has not been issued.
The Union Cabinet Secretary has asked the state governments to issue only essential services in 75 districts where either COVID 19 was confirmed or virus-related outbreaks were reported. The State Governments can, if necessary, assess these circumstances and impose these restrictions on other districts.
All train services have been suspended until March 31 to prevent the spread of the virus. All interstate public transport services have been discontinued until March 31. All States have been directed to regulate, except for essential services.
