Malayalam’s megastar Mammootty met former captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team Sanath Teran Jayasuriya in Columbo. Jayasurya, who was also the newly-appointed tourism brand ambassador of Sri Lanka, visited Mammootty when the latter reached the island nation in connection with a film shooting.
Sanath Jayasuriya himself revealed the news of the visit through a tweet with a thanking note to the actor.
“It was an honour to meet Senior Malayalam actor @mammukka. Sir, you are a true superstar,” tweeted Jayasuriya.

Mammootty reached Sri Lanka for the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Kadugannawa Oru Yatrakuripp’, which is a directorial venture of Ranjith. MT Vasudevan Nair had penned the script of the movie.
