The Principal Secretary at General Admin Department, BIswanath Sinha has issued an order, which mandates ‘Biometric Punching’ across all offices under government – semi government – self governance grant in aides section. The order states that the ‘biometric punching’ would be linked to the disbursement of salary in all departments within six months of time; whereas in ‘Civil Stations’, it would be linked within a matter of three months.
Right now, the punching system is in effect in certain important offices, including Secretariat. The ‘Biometric Attendance System’ should come with UIDAI certificate, while the machines should be bought either directly, or through KELTRON.
