The demise of the unique Nedumudi Venu actor was a great loss to Malayalam cinema. One of the last movies he acted in was Indian 2. This is the second part of the movie Indian in which Kamal Haasan played the central role. This movie is directed by Shankar. But the shooting of this film was going on for many years. The shooting of this movie started in the year 2019, but later it got delayed due to various reasons.
Finally here the movie is gearing up for release on 12th July 2024. Nedumudi should have played a central character in the first part. He is also in this movie. But he shot many scenes before his death, but even after his death many scenes were left to be shot. All these scenes were later filmed with the help of artificial intelligence. Now Nedumudi Venu’s wife Sushila is revealing about this film.
“Indian has seen the first part. Kamal Haasan played the role of Senapati. Venuchetan came as an IPS officer. All the scenes in it were very good. But the shooting of the second part of the film was delayed due to various reasons. By the time he was about to take the second part, he was starting to get sick. The body was getting tired. It was then that Shankar called him. He was saying that he should play that role. He was worried whether to take up the role or not. But suddenly decided to do it. That’s how the film is made” – says Sushila.
“Two or three schedules have been shot. But later due to various reasons the shooting was delayed. By then, his health was deteriorating. When there was shooting in the high areas, Venu Chettan was taken to sit on a manchal-like thing. It was difficult but he did it all. He shared a lot of happiness at getting opportunities to be together with Kamal Haasan” – Sushila adds. Meanwhile, Sushila added that many scenes in the movie were done by him, but only a few scenes were done using artificial intelligence. Sushila adds that a technology has been used for a good cause but now what is there to gain from watching the movie and she has lost Venu Chettan. The actor also adds that he really does not want to see Venu Chetan, who is made of artificial intelligence.
